“I find a sense of belonging in the beauty and moodiness of nature. Through live performances integrating circus, dance, costume design, and stage design, I connect my personal experiences to colors, textures, and sensations of flora, fauna, and environment. The creation and presentation of my work fosters connections with my collaborators and audiences, seeking to heal from the impact of cultural loss and exclusion. Together we illuminate new layers of meaning with each performance.
My work is driven by experimentation. I cycle hungrily through artistic mediums, and integrate them into my body of work. I have studied choreography, visual art, photography, film, and costume design, so my work involves movement and the organic use of color and light through a dramatic, cinematic lens.”
